M’lissa (born 30-01-1997 in Helmond, the Netherlands as Melissa Engelhart) is a Dutch singer and songwriter. Born into a musical family M’lissa learned to love music from a very early age. She plays the piano and taught herself some guitarchords to make songwriting easier.

M’lissa has been performing live on stage from the age of five! She has more than 5 million views on YouTube and has multiple TV- and radio appearances (AVRO, NPO, RTL etc).

Her career took a turn when she participated a Dutch singing contest called ‘Junior Song Festival’, she reached the finals with her song ‘Als ik in de lucht kijk’. Later that year she also received a golden record for this song. After having a taste of what the music branche was really like, she decided she wanted a long-lasting music career. Her single “Hopefully” reached the heady position of number 10 in the official Dutch Charts Top 100.

Her debut album ‘Beautiful’ has been produced by top 10 producer/songwriter J.S Weastell and mastered by Grammy-winning mastering engineer Bob Katz.The first single of the album “Ashes On The Ground” reached the steady position of number 17 in the official Dutch top 100 in 2014 for 14 weeks.The video has already received more than 2 million views on YouTube!

In 2016 M’lissa decided to make a more sophisticated sound. R&B/Motown with a touch of oldskool soul-vibes. Her love and passion for this genre resulted in tracks called ‘Superheroine’, ‘Girls night out’ and ‘Tambourine Man’ written and produced by Jan van der Toorn.

In December 2016 M’lissa released her song ‘I wish everyday was Christmas’. This was the beginning of a returning christmas-hitsong! M’lissa got noticed by Dutch radio stations. The song got played in more than 25 countries all troughout the globe.

M’lissa is a contestant on the Dutch TV-show The Voice of Holland this season and got a 4-chair-turning performance with her song ‘feel it still’.

This year more good things are coming for M’lissa.
